7:15 p.m. Safe Church Training.

Youth Protection Training Monday November 4th 7:15-8:30 p.m.

Providing a safe and nurturing place for children and youth is a top priority for our church. We strive to be such a place through all the ministries of our church and through the groups that use our building. To ensure this we are embarking on making the church handicap accessible. We are also adopting a Safe Church Policy. A part of our Safe Church Policy is training adults to keep our children safe.

Youth Protection Training is a Cub and Boy Scout program that offers insights, guildlines and common sense in working with children. Terri Perry, a member of our Board of Trustees and a Scout District Executive, will off this training on Monday November 4 at the church.

It is the goal of the Church Council and C.E. that all adults who are working with children and youth take this training. This includes Church School Teachers, Youth Advisors, WILD Wednesday leaders, Super Church Leaders and Nursery Workers.

In addition to this Monday night class, you can also take the training at home through the internet. If you choose to do so, please print off the certificate of completion when you are finished and bring to the church. The online training begins at https://myscouting.scouting.org/ Go to that site and click the link Youth Protection.
